Wild walks - discovering Ireland's native plants and trees
Half day walking tour
Step into the Irish landscape on this immersive two-and-a-half-hour experience, where guests will explore the rich variety of native wildflowers and plants.
Margaret will focus on identifying seasonal flora while uncovering the fascinating stories behind them – from traditional culinary uses to long-held medicinal properties.
This is not a foraging trip in the conventional sense: the emphasis is on learning, appreciating, and tasting small samples along the way rather than gathering or removing plants. Guests leave with a deeper understanding of Ireland’s natural heritage and the ways people have lived in harmony with it for centuries.
Perfect as a stand-alone half-day activity or combined with other local experiences, this gentle walk is suitable for curious travellers of all ages who want to connect more deeply with Ireland’s wild side.
